Last Wednesday OF ZAIN AND MARIA

In Last Wednesday, ZAIN and MARIA are at their computers in the office having another glorious day of work.
Zain : I’m exhausted.
Maria : Go take a nap.
Zain : Nah. I have too much to do.
Maria : Let it be then.
Zain : I’m running on empty.
Maria : Go have some coffee.
Zain : Nah. I’m not in the mood for coffee.
Maria : Let it be then.
Zain : I can’t keep my eyes open.
Maria : Go and put water on your face.
Zain : Nah. I can’t be bothered to walk to the bathroom.
Maria: Let it be then.
(beat)
Did I tell you what happened to me last Wednesday?
Zain : Yeah.
Maria : Oh. (beat) You sure?
Zain : Yeah. When you fell down the stairs.
Maria : When did I fall down the stairs?
Zain : Last Wednesday.
Maria : No. I didn’t.
Zain : Yes. You did.
Maria : No…I never fell down the stairs.
Zain stares at Maria a long time.
Zain : Oh.
Maria : What?
Zain : That was Bill.
Maria : That makes sense.
(beat)
So, I didn’t tell you about last Wednesday?
Zain : Tell me.
Maria : I…hold…I…
Maria quickly puts a tissue to his nose.
Zain : Bleeding again?
Maria : Yeah…damn.
Zain : I’d like to punch you in the face.
Maria : Excuse me?
Zain : It’s why your nose is bleeding. I thought about how I would like to take a swing at your nose to stop you from talking. It’s my fault. Sorry.
Maria : I didn’t mean to bother you.
Zain : I wish it was you who fell down the stairs.  Last Wednesday.
Maria : What?
Zain : You. Not Bill.
Maria stares at Zain for a long time.
Maria : It doesn’t work.
Zain : What?
Maria : I thought of something to happen to you and it didn’t work.
Zain : What did you think to happen?
Maria : That you’d flash me.
Zain : Oh.
Maria : A man can dream.
(beat)
Zain : Did you see it?
Maria : What?…No.
Zain : You missed it.
Maria : Damn.
(beat)
Zain : If you were to kill someone. How would you go about killing that someone?
Maria : Depends on the person and what they did.
Zain : Let’s say I wanted to kill you. How should I do it?
Maria : The best way to kill me?
Zain : Yes.
Maria : Run me down with a car.
Zain : You think?
Maria : Sure, why not?
Zain : Duly noted.
(beat)
Maria : SCREW THIS DAY!!!
Zain : Right.
Maria : SCREW THIS KNOCK DAY ALL DAY!!!
Zain : Right.
(beat)
You know, there’s not one man in this entire company that I would screw.
Maria : Is it because I smell?
Zain : It’s because your face smells.
Maria : Right. So, I smell okay to you?
Zain : Your face and your scent match actually.
Maria : Bravo.
(beat)
Zain : Look, I’m going to go up to the roof and throw myself off.
Maria : Take care.
Zain : Thanks.
Linda leaves.

Fibromyalgia: “I am 41 years Old & I Live in the Body of an Old Man”

He is always tired, and all the time it hurts. Patrick Schutz of Neuchâtel has fibromyalgia – an invisible condition that is not recognized by disability insurance. Pain, pain, nothing but pain: Patrick Schuts (41) from Neuchâtel always has the feeling that he has the flu – without a fever, but with enormous lead fatigue. He would like to stay in bed all day and spend time there. “Every part of my body hurts, though, fortunately not all at the same time,” he told the magazine “L’illustré”.  Patrick Schutz and his partner have a three-year-old daughter, Naya. Even if he plays with her only 20 minutes, he runs out of energy for the whole day. “When I’ve slept, and then I wake up, I’m as tired as if I have not slept.” He has lost many friends who think he is pretending. At night you can not go out with them as before, because you need to go to bed at 7 pm to relax. The diagnosis of his suffering a year ago was revealed: Fibromyalgia....

Me vs. Fibromyalgia: Finding Answers, Part 1 -- I Was Just Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia, Yay... Wait... What?

What most people don't know about my "normal life" is that every second of every day is spent managing and coping with my chronic pain that will never go away. "Me vs. Fibromyalgia" is an in-depth, one-of-a-kind series designed to give readers and warriors affected by Fibromyalgia a comprehensive look into the facts of the disease and the story of a woman who wouldn't take no for an answer. I've chronicled eight years of experience with Fibro including chronic pain, low energy, doctors, relationships and more, and hope to offer answers and support to those who seek them. Over 5 million people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Five million! That's about 1 in 50 Americans, and between 80 and 90 percent of those are  women . This is my story of living with this crazy and complicated condition and the purpose of my series is to educate and assist those who suffer every minute of every day and are still expected to live a ...

30 Things Only People With Fibromyalgia Tend to Understand.!!

If you live with  fibromyalgia , you can describe the symptoms you experience to your doctor and tell your friends and family how the illness affects your ability to participate in everyday activities. But unless they have the condition themselves, it’s just about impossible for them to truly understand what fibro is like. It usually takes a fellow fibro warrior to be able to fully empathize with all the symptoms, side effects and lifestyle changes. Connecting with other people who “get it” won’t make your fibro go away, but it can be comforting and encouraging to know you’re not alone in your fight. We  asked our Mighty community  to share some of the things that only those with fibromyalgia tend to understand. If any of the following experiences ring true for you, we hope it can be a reminder that there are plenty of people out there who really do understand. Here’s what our community shared with us: “A day doesn’t go by without some weird symptom. It...
